Details on the new Oasis album(!)

I love how the British music press has been slowly giving the world details on the upcoming Oasis album. Each week we can read about the track titles or the album title or the number of songs Liam has written, etc.. But does it really matter? Is the world that starved for Oasis information? Today, XFM gives us further details on the album Don't Believe the Truth, which at least dicusses the music and has Noel giving a heads-up on what each track sounds like. Don't Believe the Truth comes out on May 30 in the UK.

For what it's worth, I've got a buddy whose work, an ad agency, was able to listen to like five or six tracks that will be on the new album. According to him, and I know that this will sound familar, but he says that this is their best stuff since Morning Glory.
I'm trying not to set myself up for eventual disappointment, but I trust his taste.

By the way, thanks to your blog's heads up on Kasabian. I'm really digging the first half of the album--the slower numbers are a litlle, well, not good.

I thought some tracks off of Standing on the Shoulders and Heathen Chemistry were pretty good. So I expect the same thing from Don't Believe the Truth - a couple of strong tracks and some fillers.

Kasabian are great live too. If they roll through Chicago, you should check them out.
