New Violators

I forgot about New Violators until BV mentioned them in a post yesterday. These Norwegians are outstanding. Their music is a great cross between The Killers and Duran Duran (or maybe a more upbeat Stellastarr*). They are going to be taking the US by storm in March, with three shows in NYC (March 12 at Tonic, Martch 20 at Mercury (with Fujiaka and Miyagi), and March 21 at Pianos) and a SXSW show on March 15. Their MySpace page has a couple of songs to stream, BV has an Mp3 of "Burma" and Stereogum has a couple of their demos.
