Ads will tear us apart

Universal Music Publishing has taken over the administration of Joy Division's catalog from Zomba Music Publishing. Universal says "it is determined to 'aggressively promote' the catalog for synchronization licensing for film, TV, and advertising." Joy Division/New Order's management says "2007 is goping to be a huge year for Joy Division." But please - isn't anything sacred? Movies and TV are one thing, but are we going to hear "She's Lost Control" in a Target commercial? (Thanks Coolfer for the heads up)
