White Rose Movement at the Bowery

A little underwhelming last night. WRM played a 35 minute set at the Bowery Ballroom to a pretty thin crowd. I love the cd, but WRM was a little weak live. More style than substance. The drummer and keyboardist were good, but the vocals left a lot to be desired. I love the album, but the live show...not so much. Half of the 8 songs they played were good, including "Alsation" and "Love is a Number", one of the three best songs of 2005. Worth buying the cd, but you don't necessarily have to see them live. (I heard excuses as to the weak show - last stop on the tour, long trip, etc, but step it up - it's New York City!).
