The return of Franz

The Franz Ferdinand hype machine is warming up, getting ready for the fall release of their sophomore effort. You Could Have It So Much Better…With Franz Ferdinand will be released on October 3, preceded by a new single "Do You Want To" on September 19. NME has the full tracklisting here. I'm really surprised that none of these tracks have been leaked yet - I'm just waiting for that to happen.

Nice little blurb about Franz-y. :) Not sure if you'd be interested but...

here are video streams of Athlete's most recent single, "Half-Light", from the new album ("Tourist") released back in May. It'd be RAD if you could post the video on your site - please let me know if you do. Love to know what you think. If you're ever on AIM: ellepea1...hit me up anytime.

"Half-Light" (video)

BTW - do you already have the new full-length album? If not, let me know if you want a copy of the cd or if you'd like tickets - I might be able to hook you up with a pair. Also, if you're interested in interviewing the band we could totally set that up for. Just give me a holler.

Heard the new Franz single, "Do You Want To" on Lamacq Live - pretty good. It starts a little slow and then hits you with the bass line. It's pretty danceable. I just realized that when they play the Theater at MSG, TV on the Radio and Cut Copy will open for them. Not a bad lineup.

As for the Athlete video, I'll gladly post the streams. I'm a fan of Vehicles and Animals and although I've heard Tourist, I don't own it yet. But "Anonymous," I don't have an AIM account, so if you'd like to get in touch with me, shoot me an email at Thanks!
